Upcoming Events in 2019 

  • Here is some information regarding our book group’s next selection and meeting date. The next book selection is Before the Frost by Henning Mankell, part of Mankell’s Kurt Wallander series. This book feature’s Kurt’s daughter, Linda. In early Wallander novels, she was a rebellious daughter who lives a life separate from her divorced parents. Now she is a member of the police force in Ystad, Sweden. So come to the book discussion of Before the Frost (or other Wallander books you might have read) on Monday, October 21, at 6:30 p.m., at the Ager Museum (514 W. Madison).

    At the Ager Museum
    Third Wednesdays in July, August, September, October
    The Waldemar Ager Association invites the public to tour the Ager Museum.
    Free tours at the museum from 4 – 6:30. Special music programs at 6:30 on the following Wednesdays in 2019:

    July 17                          Holzman Nyckelharpa Duo
    August 21                     Perdendosi Quartet plays Glazunov
    September 18              Rob Kuchta plays Ole Bull
    October 16                   Bruce Sorenson, Robin Fossum, Mari Carlson

    On the lawn. Bring lawn chairs, blankets. Indoors if inclement weather. Five dollars per person.
    No charge for students.

    The Ager House is regularly open for tours on 2nd and 4th Saturdays from 10 to 2 and will resume the regular Wednesday schedule from 4 – 7 in November.
